the grand plie

karina3-1024x682 This weeks exercise will be going back to my roots. Growing up I was an avid dancer and then spent time as a young adult out in New York pursuing my dream to become a professional. As time went on my priorities changed and  I found someone and a life that I loved more…Although I am no longer an active dancer, I still have a strong love for it in my heart and feel that ballet is by far one of the best exercises that you can do for your body. It not only tones your body, it lengthens your muscles so you don’t bulk up. So, give it a try. This week I will be doing 20 Grand Plies (slowly) in first position, then second, and then will repeat the exercise 5 times. Good luck and enjoy!
